Territorial plan which aims to consolidate the Andean churches of the Arica and Parinacota region as not only one of the most valuable sets of sites of South American heritage but also an example and resource for sustainable development and design. In coordination with the Andean communities, studies of 30 sites are being tackled with comprehensive research and restoration projects as well as studies in traditional developmental methods, renewable energy and tourism planning. |
The Missions Route is a tourist circuit which integrates the Arica and Parinacota Andean foothills to enhance and preserve the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Region. The circuit proposes the creation of a high quality and innovative tourist offer which passes through the drover’s roads, archaeological sites, colonial churches and displays of the customs and rich culture of the Andean foothills. |

CIPADES is the instance of training and promotion of professional and technical disciplines related to the recovery and conservation of natural and cultural heritage in rural areas. CIPADES proposes generation capacity for conservation and restoration of heritage, agriculture and livestock production, renewable energy, cultural production, and other heritage tourism. In the process of implementation there are other projects as CIPADES Belen, Parinacota Region of Arica and CIPADES Peralillo, O’Higgins Region. |
The audiovisual project Arica Nativa uses film to educate, promote and generate sustainable development in the Arica and Parinacota region. The project includes an audiovisual production training oriented to young producers and the organization of the annual Arica Nativa International Film Festival. |
